’Tis the season of airdrops!
Starknet, one of the fastest-growing Layer-2s on Ethereum, has recently announced an airdrop of its STRK token, and included certain stakers in StakeWise in its allocation.
This article is dedicated to the instructions for claiming your STRK: learn how to check if you have qualified, how to claim, how to report a potential mistake, and other specifics inside!
Basics
🔗 Claiming your airdrop can be done ONLY via the StakeWise App interface, using this link: https://app.stakewise.io/starknet. Repeat: only use the link https://app.stakewise.io/starknet to claim your airdrop. If you encounter messages stating otherwise, automatically assume they are a SCAM and avoid them like the plague they are ☠️.
🎟 You could be eligible for the STRK airdrop if you held sETH2 and/or rETH2 tokens at the moment of the snapshot, which took place at block 15537393 on September 15th 2022, also known as the date of the Ethereum Merge.
❌ There is one important caveat: you must be based outside of the US in order to be eligible for the airdrop.
⏳ There is a deadline for claiming your tokens — you must claim your STRK before April 25th 2024. Any STRK unclaimed by that date will be sent back to Starknet.
💔 No distribution is perfect! If you believe you should have received an allocation but did not, please let us know before April 1st 2024 — we will look into it and correct it if necessary.
Instructions
📺 Head to the Starknet Airdrop section of our app by using this link: https://app.stakewise.io/starknet. Note: we are geoblocking US-based users for this one.
🔌 Connect the wallet that you believe is eligible for the airdrop.
🤔 If you are eligible, you should see some amount of STRK to claim. If you are not eligible, the interface will show 0 STRK available for claiming.
PS. If you believe you have been wrongly counted out, send us an email with your wallet address to info@stakewise.io, requesting a review.
🎁 Claim your airdrop by pressing the Claim button and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
That’s it! Once the transaction is confirmed, you should receive your STRK airdrop allocation, and use it for governance in the Starknet ecosystem.
