Launch of Obol DVs in the Genesis Vault

StakeWise has always been committed to providing the best staking service on the market, whether through enhanced security, higher yield, or simplicity.

Today we’re taking this a step further by introducing Obol Collective’s Distributed Validators (DVs) into the Genesis Vault, to increase redundancy and further contribute to the decentralization of Ethereum.

Stakers in the Genesis Vault can expect increased slashing protection, improvements in our resilience to downtime, and a wider infrastructure footprint, all thanks to Obol DVs.

Stakers will also start receiving $OBOL, the governance token of the Obol Collective, as a reward for staking on Obol DVs. This will increase the yield in the Genesis Vault, also improving the APY of StakeWise Boost.

$OBOL tokens will become claimable via the Claim interface at the end of April, which is when the incentives go live. A separate guide on using the Claim interface will be released ahead of time.

About 10% of all the validators in the Genesis Vault are already a part of the Distributed Validators cluster. This share will be scaled up over time based on the performance of DVs.

We are super excited to continue supporting the Obol Collective in improving the decentralization of our network, and offer our stakers a better service as a result.

You can track the progress towards our usage of Obol DVs here.
