What does it mean for StakeWise on Gnosis?
This release is not merely a technical upgrade; it represents a suite of new opportunities for users on Gnosis, from ordinary stakers to solo and professional node operators.
Specifically, V3 release on Gnosis will see us:
- expand the node operator set;
- stake all of the currently unbonded GNO that remains after possible withdrawals;
- improve the staking APR to approximate the network rate (before fees);
- introduce staking withdrawals and liquid solo staking;
- restore the peg on sGNO and rGNO;
- simplify start-up of new staking businesses on Gnosis;
- push liquid staking deeper into the Gnosis Chain ecosystem; and
- drastically improve the overall user experience.
In short, StakeWise on Gnosis will get a massive boost and we couldn’t be more excited about its timing.
Existing users will have the possibility to migrate to the new token, osGNO, to enjoy autocompounding of staking rewards, use their stake in any of the upcoming osGNO integrations, or unstake their assets natively.
There is nothing to do for the existing users for now. More details about the migration will be communicated closer to the actual release.
